Stage One Family Theatre has something for people of all ages this season.

Adults, young adults, and children can delight in the plays of Stage One Family Theatre during its 2012-13 theatre season.

During its season, Stage One Family Theatre will present four shows:  Wiley and the Harry Man (October), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Nov.-Dec.), Jackie and Me (March 2013), and Charlotte's Web (May 2013).  All performances will go on at the Bomhard Theatre inside of the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located in downtown Louisville at 501 W. Main Street.

Season tickets are available for as low as $26 per person and can be purchased by contacting Stage One Family Theatre at 502-498-2436.  More information on the season can be found at the Stage One Family Theatre website.

The Stage One Family Theatre season includes two plays in the PNC Foundation Childrens Series, the first of which is Wiley and the Hairy Man.  The show, a world premiere, features Wiley as he goes out into the woods looking for the Hairy Man in hopes of facing his fears and outwitting him.  The story is told using lyric poetry and mime, and actors become the scenery.  Wiley and the Hairy Man will be performed on Oct. 13 and 20.

Charlotte's Web will follow in the childrens series, featuring a tale of a terrific and radiant pig.  At least that is what the spider Charlotte spins in her web in an attempt to help Wilbur, the pig, live out his years on the farm.  Charlotte's Web will be performed on May 11 and 18.

Two plays will also be featured in the Yum Young Adult Series, including The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  An entire town has come out to see a Christmas play, but it's not an ordinary one.  This one stars the Herdmans, who are the worst kids in the world with their lying, cheating, and stealing.  Will the play be a disaster or a Christmas classic?  Find out on November 24, December 8, 15, and 20.

The other young adult play is Jackie and Me, featuring Joey, a time-traveling young boy who needs to write a paper on the pioneering baseball player Jackie Robinson.  Joey goes back to 1947 to meet Jackie, and what Joey learns will ultimately change his views on history and life.  Jackie and Me will be performed March 2.

The young adult series shows are recommended for those eight years old and up, and the childrens shows are recommended for those four years old and up.
